• National Indigenous Music Awards (NIMAs) (Saturday 10 August). This year, the annual star-studded awards event looks back at 20 deadly years of Indigenous music on the opening weekend of Darwin Festival. Held on the traditional lands of the Larrakia people, the NIMAs inspire everyone to celebrate the rich diversity of Indigenous music from across the country – from emerging talents to international sensations like Gurrumul and Jessica Mauboy.

NIMA Creative Director Ben Graetz said: “I am excited to be a part of this year awards which are the culmination of two decades of Indigenous musical brilliance. Each year we come together to honour our diverse First Nations music from across Australia. I cannot wait to celebrate with everyone this year under the stars at Darwin Amphitheatre on Larrakia Country for a memorable night of First Nations musical excellence.”
